Popular Spots to Watch Fireworks in Atlanta on the Fourth of July

Celebrate the 4th of July with a great fireworks display. Atlanta offers a few spots around the city to watch them, and hopefully, the rain will not cancel the many festivities planned around the city.  Here are some of the most popular displays:

Centennial Olympic Park – Park gates open at 6 p.m. and fireworks start at approximately 9:40 p.m.
The finale of the evening is Centennnial Olympic Park’s Fireworks Spectacular, Atlanta’s best fireworks display synchronized to a special selection of patriotic and popular music.  Festivities planned rain or shine.

Lenox Square Legendary 4th – Musical entertainment begins at 6 p.m.  Fireworks are scheduled to begin at approximately 9:35 p.m. weather permitting.

Downtown Decatur – July 4th Celebrations Cancelled – The City of Decatur has decided to postpone its Independence Day events and celebrations in light of the unfavorable weather forecast for July 4th. A Faux Fourth Celebration will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28 with a Pied Piper Parade, Concert on the Square and fireworks.

Turner Field – If you’re at the Braves game on the 4th, be sure to stay for the fireworks following the game.

Have a fun, safe 4th of July!
